Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American actor-producer and stage actress has been known for her roles in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in film, theater, and television. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in several television series and independent and mainstream movies. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received various awards and nominations, among them her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995, she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. Stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. In the film industry she is most famous for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Also, she is well-known for her character on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
