Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actress. Her debut on screen was through Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film Sex Traffic where she received the British Academy Television Award for Best actress. She is fluent in French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her mother was a violinist and her father is a theater instructor in one of Romania's most prestigious theatre schools. The actress acted as a Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 luni3 Two days, 4 months (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days) that was honoured with the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. In addition, she appeared as a child in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim Anwar on the BBC 5-episode miniseries The Last Enemy.
